Youth Pastor

Youth Pastor

My name is Graham Harry and I am the Youth Pastor for TheO6 Project here in Ottery St Mary. I am very much a family man and love spending time with my four beautiful daughters – Chloe, Aimee, Millie and Phoebe. I also have  5  gorgeous grandchildren. I am a Devon lad, though from September 2015 – February 2017  I lived in Manchester, home of the best football team Manchester United. I love to read and if there is one thing I am a bit geeky about is that I am quite obsessed with Doctor Who.

I have been a Christian since the age of 12 years and I passionately believe that as a Christian, through Christ, I can make a difference in the society I live in.

I have always been involved in youth work one way or the other. For the 18 months in Manchester I was the Team Leader for the National Youth and Children’s Department of the Congregational Federation Prior to that I was a Youth Pastor at Crediton Congregational Church for nearly 7 years.

I am also a qualified Primary Teacher so you will find me quite a bit in the local schools.

My passion is to share Christ and show how he can make a positive impact on our lives. But it is also to see young people being all they can be and equipped to face the future with confidence and dare I say it to change the world.

Through my role I aim to support and care for the young people in Ottery St Mary. This might be through working with local church youth groups, Kings School, the various primary schools and other local organisations working with young people.

Mentoring and Coaching is something I really believe in and it is something which I want to establish in Ottery St Mary through TheO6 and our new Mentoring project XL-Mentoring. With the ever increasing issues surrounding Young People’s Mental Health I firmly believe this is something we can do our part in.

If you have any questions or would like to speak to me please do not hesitate to contact me. I look forward to seeing you all.
