A Time To Reflect

Published by Graham Harry on

Throughout the year there are a number of times when we can say it is a new year or a new start. It could be the start of the academic year or the start of a new job, you may have moved house or, as we have just celebrated, the start of a new calendar year. Whenever it is what is important is the need to reflect on what has been and move forward according to the path you have chosen. In February this year TheO6’s current three year vision comes to an end. It will be in this time now that I begin to prayerfully reflect on what has been achieved or not. To look at what has worked and what needs more work. And assessing whether the vision has been realised. Ultimately then it will be looking at the path moving forward. What does God want me to do now in Ottery St Mary? What is the vision for the next three years? How can I support the young people better? These are questions that need to be answered. What I do know is that there are exciting times ahead. I know that God wants young people to be all they can be and I know my role will be to help them towards that. 2020 will indeed be the start of a new thing and I may not know all the answers yet but I know someone who does.

“For I know the plans I have for you” declares the Lord. “Plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Jeremiah 29:11
